Congratulations for Cheshire Constabulary

Congratulations for Cheshire Constabulary

Congratulating another BFRS member, Cheshire Constabulary, who have received the gold award from the Employer Recognition Scheme for their dedication to helping the AFC.

Cheshire Constabulary is one of the 3,000 forces friendly employers committed to supporting its employees who have previously served or currently serve in the armed forces, as well as members of the armed forces community within Cheshire – regular personnel, reservists, veterans, their spouses and bereaved members of the service personnel families.

In December 2021, Chief Constable Mark Roberts re-signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

Some words from the Constabulary:

“It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.”

“Last week we formally received the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold award, at a national presentation event held in Manchester. We're the 14th force to have achieved this highest possible recognition and we'll become the first to host an ERS awards ceremony in November of next year.”

We love seeing so many organisations continue their support for those deciding to leave the forces and their families, its places like Cheshire Constabulary that make what we do for the AFC easier.
