About this event:
With up to 10+ Construction companies attending, looking for the inherent qualities that the Armed Forces Community (AFC) possess, this is the ideal networking environment when searching for guidance on your next employment role or career.
The construction industry covers everything from Brick Layers to Surveyors, Engineers to Site Managers and as such the day provides exposure to the construction Industry Sector with the opportunity to meet and network with “forces friendly” companies from various areas of the Construction Industry and discuss the vast and diverse national roles.
Our bespoke Q&A session will also provide you with the scope to discuss more widely about Construction per se and ascertain where are they operating. It also gives you the chance to find out what roles are available and how your skills set may fit.
This event is a great way to meet directly with companies seeking to recruit forces personnel. There will also be presentations on the day from the event sponsors, and recruitment teams offering you a greater insight as to what is available.
You can also find out what training and/or courses are available to get your career started within the Construction industry.

Funded Training Opportunities with the NASC
On the day you will be able to find out more about the NASC funding opportunities towards training:
- The NASC cover the training costs of £3500 - £3800, the full cost of becoming a qualified scaffolder – undertaking the CISRS Scaffolder training scheme – COTS, Part1, Part2, VQ2 and Skills tests.
- Alternatively, you can receive up to £1,000 towards non-operative training, such as H&S or admin courses if you have an offer of employment from an NASC member company.
To be eligible for this funding applicants can either be in the process of leaving the Armed Forces or could have left within the past five years.
