Crossroads Truck & Bus HGV Technician Recruitment & Insight Day

Crossroads Truck & Bus are looking for personnel from the Armed Forces Community who are interested in exploring HGV Technician career opportunities at our Boroughbridge depot.

The Aim of the Event:

The purpose of this event is to provide members of the Armed Forces Community (AFC) with a comprehensive insight into HGV Technician careers at Crossroads Truck & Bus, based at our Boroughbridge depot. Attendees will gain an understanding of the day-to-day role, working environment, key responsibilities, required skills, and the recruitment pathways available.

Candidates should ideally hold one of the following qualifications (or equivalent): City & Guilds Part 1 & 2, BTEC, IMI, NVQ, HND or a Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Engineering Maintenance, or a related discipline. An HGV licence would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

Refreshments / food will be available. Please inform us of any dietary requirements.

10:00 - 10:15 - Attendee registration (we will need to have confirm list of attendees prior to the event)

10:15 - 10:30 - Welcome and health & safety brief.

10:30 - 11.00 - HGV Technician role overview, depot operations, training, and career development.

11.00 - 11:30 - Boroughbridge depot tour.

11:30 - 12:00 - Questions.

Interview Sessions: Will be conducted as required to support the recruitment process.
