Course Description

The SFJ IQ Level 4 Courses in Covert Surveillance Operations are qualifications designed to develop and provide formal recognition of learners’ knowledge, understanding and competence of surveillance techniques and tactics. Surveillance is the monitoring of the behaviour, activities or other changing information, usually of people for the purpose of intelligence gathering as part of an investigation into unlawful or illegal activity, or for enforcement activities.

The qualifications are aimed at those who wish to gain a recognised qualification, whether they are new to the investigative or enforcement sectors or they have a professional background in a related field and intend to engage in continuing professional development. The skills developed in the qualification will be relevant to the private investigation sector and to individuals with a military background carrying out resettlement training prior to civilian life.

SFJ IQ Level 4 in Covert Surveillance Operations (ADV AWARD):

- 5 day course advancing covert surveillance skills and tactics previously learned.

- Organising advanced foot and mobile covert surveillance.

- Conducting public transport surveillance.

- Conducting surveillance on a target who is using multi storey car parks and multiple levels/exits in built up areas.

- Dealing with the threat of compromises and counter surveillance.

- Understand the elements of the surveillance team and how to use them effectively in any environment.

- Organising counter surveillance operations.

This SFJ IQ Level 4 in Covert Surveillance Operations (Advanced Award) is an advancement on the Intermediate Award. It is a five day course designed around criminal activity and it will test you to your limits in order for you to become a Qualified Surveillance Operative.
