Course Description
FREC COURSE OVERVIEW:
The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.
The qualification is approved by Qualsafe Awards (the UK’s largest Awarding Organisation for first aid qualifications) and is clinically endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). The course is also recognised by the SIA when applying for the Close Protection licence.
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING 3 UNITS;
Unit 1 – first response emergency care
Unit 2 – first response emergency care of trauma
Unit 3 – first response emergency care of medical conditions
Assessment is via a series of 13 x practical assessments, 4 x Skills Tests and 3 x Theory multiple choice question papers.
